Get Ready to Vote Early
The polls will be open on Sept. 1 for the state primary from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Truro Community Center. But you don’t have to wait that long.
Early voting will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. And it will be held again on Sunday, Aug. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. Then Monday, Aug. 24 through Friday Aug. 28, early voting continues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The early voting is at Truro Town Hall, not the Community Center.
Democrats will decide between Edward Markey and Joseph Kennedy III for U.S. Congress; and Mark Forest, Cheryl Andrews, or Sheila Lyons for county commissioner. Voters may pick two for the county race.
For Republicans, the only contested race is between Shiva Ayyadurai and Kevin O’Connor for U.S. Senate. —K.C. Myers
