Pop-Up Testing Clinic in Harwich

Town Meeting Quorum Reduced
The quorum for this year’s annual town meeting has been reduced from 6 percent of the town’s registered voters to 100 registered voters. The change was made in case the meeting sees lower attendance because of Covid-19. The select board approved the decision unanimously at their July 28 meeting, two weeks after approving an official plan for town meeting, which will take place outdoors on Sept. 12.
August Budget Approved
The select board approved the town’s $2,645,689 operating budget for the month of August. The town will use month-to-month budgets until a fiscal 2021 budget is voted on at town meeting in September.
