Surfacing on the forward edge of the Aquarian Venus-Mars alignment that will bestow social graces upon us for the next month, the illuminating Sun and dream-weaver Neptune connect in the depths of Pisces. Their exact conjunction occurs on March 13.
Pisces rules the 12th House of Sacrifice. It is a holder of miracles, intuition, and retreat, and is the sign that contains all other signs, the crux of the zodiac in which the qualms and quandaries of the cycle meet their end at the beginning. Pisces is the tail in the mouth of the ouroboros — that ancient serpent.
Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces. It is the planet of fantasy and the collective consciousness. It is a generational planet, like Uranus and Pluto, and since it spends so much time in one sign, its energies are said to influence entire generations of people.
With the alignment of Neptune and the Sun in Pisces, we can expect the illusions that hide universal truths to dissolve. Our spiritual lives and dreams are energized by this transit and our selfishness diminished in its light. Now, naked self-interest gives way to a stripped-down version of our egos — one that prizes communion and compassion over individual enrichment.
