Across the Continents (Friday, June 2)
Fahima Ashori’s art exhibition “From Afghanistan to Cape Cod” opens at the Provincetown Commons (46 Bradford St.) on Friday, June 2, with a reception for the artist at 5 p.m. The exhibition is on view until June 11. See provincetowncommons.org for information.
Spring Into Summer (Friday, June 2)
The Provincetown Arts Society presents “First Look,” an event celebrating Provincetown fashion, makers, and brands, at the Mary Heaton Vorse house (466 Commercial St.) on Friday, June 2, 5 p.m. The event will feature a silent auction, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and musical guests. Shark Sighting (Thursday, June 8)
Cape Cod National Seashore and the Center for Coastal Studies celebrate World Ocean Day with a public ceremony to unveil a new artwork at Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown on Thursday, June 8, 11 a.m. in celebration of World Ocean Day. The 14-foot sculpture of an Atlantic white shark by artist Cindy Pease Roe is made entirely of marine debris collected from the National Seashore’s beaches. See nps.gov for information.
