Symphonic Celebration (Friday-Sunday, Dec. 2-4)

The AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod presents “’Tis the Season for Giving” at the Post Office Cafe and Cabaret (303 Commercial St., Provincetown) on Friday, Dec. 2, 8 p.m. Hosted by Anita Cocktail, the benefit features an all-star lineup of drag performers and musical guests. Make the Yuletide Gay (Friday, Dec. 2)
The Crown & Anchor (247 Commercial St., Provincetown) hosts the annual “Holly Folly Follies” on Friday, Dec. 2, 8:30 p.m. Described as “the gayest holiday show in town,” it features a dozen performers and is a benefit for the Provincetown Business Guild and Summer of Sass. What’s Your Type? (Saturday, Dec. 3)
Snow Library (67 Main St., Orleans) presents a Type-In on Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 to 11 a.m. Meet in the library’s Craine Room and try out an assortment of vintage typewriters to type out poems, love letters, and secret messages. Bring your own manual typewriter if you’d like. Paper is provided, all ages are welcome, and no registration is necessary.
Paper Shapers (Saturday, Dec. 3)
Upcycle old books for decorations at the Truro Public Library (7 Standish Way) on Saturday, Dec. 3, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Learn how to make a holiday star ornament, a holiday tree, or a paper wreath. Bring scissors if you can; other supplies will be provided. The workshop is free.
Stuff a Cruiser II (Saturday, Dec. 3)
The Provincetown Police Dept. hosts its second “Stuff-a-Cruiser” toy drive this Saturday, Dec. 3 starting at the Stop & Shop (56 Shank Painter Road) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and continuing downtown in Lopes Square from 1 to 3 p.m. It’s part of the department’s 9th annual Toys for Tots effort. Donations are also accepted at the police station (26 Shank Painter Road) 24 hours a day until Saturday.
Souper Troopers (Saturday, Dec. 3)
The Soup Kitchen in Provincetown has its annual “Souper Saturday” lunch benefit on Dec. 3, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Tin Pan Alley (269 Commercial St.). Cups of soup from three dozen Outer Cape restaurants and chefs will be on the menu for $8 per serving, and a cash bar will be available. All proceeds go to SKIP. See skipfood.org for information.
