Snow Library (67 Main St., Orleans) presents “Transgender Identity: Contemporary Controversies and Family Relationships” on Thursday, Nov. 10, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Celebrating Janet Lesniak (Friday-Saturday, Nov. 11-12)
Wellfleet Preservation Hall (335 Main St.) celebrates Executive Director Janet Lesniak and the launch of the Lesniak Community Fund, which will support ongoing programming. The “Toast to Janet” gala on Friday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. will include oysters, cocktails, and music; tickets are by donation at three suggested levels. Bright Lights (Friday, Nov. 11)
The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum celebrates the 2022 monument lighting on Friday, Nov. 11, 6 p.m., commemorating the landing of the Mayflower Pilgrims in Provincetown Harbor. There will not be an in-person event this year, but the Monument encourages all to “Get Loud for the Lights” when they come on. Donations can be made at pilgrim-monument.org.

Michael V. Pregot speaks on the maritime adventures of sea captains at the Eastham Public Library (190 Samoset Rd.) on Saturday, Nov. 12, 1 to 2 p.m. The talk explores the connections between towns on the Outer Cape and the sea. Main St.) presents a talk with historian and activist Anne Winkler-Morey, author of Allegiance to Winds and Waters, on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2 to 3 p.m. The book tells the story of her bicycle journey around the contiguous United States with her spouse. The Ruffled Hens (Denya LeVine, Pat Nash, and Laura Geiges) will perform a free concert at the Wellfleet Adult Community Center on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2 p.m. The trio’s repertoire includes Celtic and French music, old time American fiddle tunes, and North American folk and popular songs.
The Art of Cinema (Sunday, Nov. 13)
Provincetown Film Society presents the 16th Film Art Series at Waters Edge Cinema (237 Commercial St.) beginning Sunday, Nov. 13. Curated and hosted by Provincetown Independent arts writer Howard Karren, the program will run through May 2023. A Holiday Celebration (Sunday, Nov. 13)
