Set to occur at an auspicious one degree in Aquarius, this month’s new Moon on the 21st sets us up for radical new beginnings. It’s time to set fresh intentions, and, while we are at it, to buck trends.
Ruled by both Saturn and Uranus, Aquarius sets a noble bar, and more so with Uranus leaving its retrograde. The universalist of the zodiac, the Water Bearer, although an air sign, distills mere notions into items that can be acted on for change. If the Aquarians you know seem aloof, it’s just because they’re busy trying to reinvent the world through sheer will.
Uranus doesn’t care much for the status quo, which it has had to muddle through during its retrograde in Taurus since August. Big-picture progress has seemed stuck in the mud since then. With Uranus now stationing direct on the 22nd, the gears of society can churn on once more, though still bogged down somewhat by Taurus’s laissez-faire energy.
Still, the new Moon in Aquarius is just the proverbial fire under the glutes we all need to pull ourselves out of the mud. Now is a good time to experiment, socialize, and free your spirit to rage against the machines of originalism and conservative traditions that no longer serve the collective good.
Your horoscopes this week account for the Aquarian new Moon’s presence in your respective zodiacal houses.
