Despite the airy vibes of the Gemini new Moon, we’re still in the thick of some cosmic chaos. Mercury goes direct now after three or so weeks of manic mayhem. Don’t forget, though, that the two weeks after a planet goes direct, it remains in shadow. Sorry, but I don’t make the rules.
The quicker you integrate those retrograde lessons, the sooner you’ll see a clear path ahead of you. Considering that Mercury has been in Taurus, you’ll most likely see levity in matters of money and feelings of self-worth. That said, when Mercury stations direct, it squares off with stern Saturn, which could add a serious tone to this time.
Saturn itself goes retrograde almost immediately after Mercury ends its own. Saturn’s the planet of tough love and patience, so if there was a moment to get realer than real about the consequences of our choices, this is it.
While Saturn’s energy can feel limiting, it’s really here to remind us of responsibility. In Aquarius, that’s our duty to the collective. So, how can we approach our shared experience with maturity, honoring the lessons life has already served?
We could probably start by working together to change a broken system that disenfranchises everyone other than cis-gender white males — including gay men. Ask yourself honestly, are you part of the problem? Flying the rainbow flag doesn’t make you a good person by default. And it doesn’t mean you can ignore the struggles of others just because you think yours are largely over — for now.
