It should be noted for transparency’s sake that this astro-columnist is himself a Libra, born Oct. 9, 1985. For me, writing about Libra poses a challenge. How to turn the mirror back on oneself and perceive the reflection truthfully? Libra is ruled by the planet Venus, whose symbol, some say, resembles a mirror with a handle. Indeed, Libras tend to be gifted at self-reflection, which feeds both their innate diplomacy and their exceeding vanity. For Libras, pleasure exists in the world of ideas, where beauty is light, but, wandering too far afield, we can lose ourselves in the dark fringes of our minds, succumbing to bitter demons. Just as Venus appears as both morning and evening stars, how best to straddle both sides of the psyche?
