Calie Wotherspoon, Marla Rice, Anne Suggs, and Janet Lesniak (left to right) baked about 75 apple pies in the Wellfleet Preservation Hall kitchen to deliver to those in need over the long Thanksgiving weekend. It was part of a collaboration with 246 Community Kitchen, whose “Spice of Life” team made squash and apple soup, to supplement Common Table’s Thanksgiving efforts. The 246 Kitchen will begin its “Soup’s On” program in the new year. On Tuesday nights, they will provide 50 free quarts of soup, along with bread and salad, to those in the community who need it.
