Candidates Night on April 21
There is only one contested race on the ballot at the May 11 annual town election. Voters will have a chance to meet the candidates and ask questions at a virtual candidates night at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21.
Three people are running for one spot on the select board. Incumbent Lise King, 56, is running for re-election. Her challengers are Leslie Sandberg, 58, and Oriana Conklin, 30.
The candidates night will be moderated by Florence Seldin of the League of Women Voters of the Cape Cod Area.
PTV, the local public access channel, is collaborating with the Provincetown Independent, the Provincetown Banner, and WOMR-FM radio station to bring you this forum.
Reporters will write questions, and the public is also invited to submit questions for the candidates. Check back here next week to find the meeting link for the event and a way to submit questions.
Sandberg is on the PTV Board of Directors and King is a volunteer on WOMR, so those two organizations will not take part in gathering or developing questions from journalists or the public. —K.C. Myers
