The board of heath will be looking for the public’s input on proposed noncommercial farm animal regulations that could require a permit as early as next year.
The board approved a draft of the regulations at its Oct. 22 workshop that will be posted on the town’s website and be the subject of a community outreach and discussion scheduled for Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.
According to the draft copy displayed at the board’s Zoom meeting the regulations would apply to, but not be limited to: alpacas, chickens, cows, ducks, emus, geese, goats, horses, llamas, ostriches, rabbits, sheep, swine, and turkeys.
