Maggie Simonelli Generates ‘Cosmic Fire’

Gary Marotta Fine Art is hosting a two-night opening for “Cosmic Fire,” a show of new encaustic work by Maggie Simonelli, on Friday, September 4th, and Saturday, September 5th, at 7 p.m. at 162 Commercial St. in Provincetown. The show runs through October 31st. Simonelli’s deep red abstract artworks are made of cosmetic-grade beeswax, an assortment of metal leaf, and traditional and cosmetic pigments. They explore elements of human nature and the physical Earth.
