Herald Spring With a ‘Music Thing’
Mar 27, 2021 | 7:30 pm
Due to the Covid pandemic, the Soup Kitchen in Provincetown distributed over 25,000 meals this season, 10,000 more than usual. As a thank you to the donors and volunteers who made it possible, SKIP is presenting a live-streamed “Spring Music Thing” on Saturday, March 27th, at 7:30 p.m. on the Facebook pages of Live from Provincetown and the Virtual Piano Bar and broadcast on PTV, Channel 99.
It’s more than just a concert. “There will be drag performers, classical musicians, and cabaret artists representing a host of genres,” says SKIP Chair Philip Franchini. Entertainers include Eric Maul, who organized the event, Brian Calhoon, Meagan Gillis, Qya Cristál, Thirsty Burlington and Mark Meehan, Jon Richardson and Peter Donnelly, Bobby Wetherbee, Dana Danzel, John Thomas, Eve Yvonne Makilya, Jim Brosseau, Halcyone Hurst, and Anne Hutchinson. The night will close with a performance by a surprise “new talent poised to be a local headliner this summer,” according to a press release.
