Group Show at Off Main

Off Main Gallery, 75 Commercial St. in Wellfleet, has new work by Barbara Gordon alongside that of visiting artists Matthew McFeely and Abraham Storer in a show running Friday, July 2nd through July 22nd.

All three are painters who display a compelling empathy. Gordon’s small paintings of stems and flowers droop and dance across backgrounds of deep primary color; McFeely’s landscapes, portraits, and still lifes are executed with a deft economy of form and a sensitive touch; while Storer’s landscapes, often framed from urban environments, make the mundane seem marvelous.

The gallery is open Friday through Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 2 to 8 p.m. There is an opening reception on Saturday, July 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m.
