FAWC Announces Summer Program for 2021

The Fine Arts Work Center is holding its summer workshops in writing and the visual arts entirely online. Registration is $550 per workshop.
Among the offerings: Pete Hocking on “Painting as Memoir,” June 7th to 11th; Nicole J. Georges demonstrates “Drawing a Line: Graphic Memoir,” June 21st to 25th; and Vicky Tomayko leads a workshop in “Relief Printing: Woodcut, Linocut, and Reduction Printing,” July 5th to 9th. Paul Lisicky’s “On Urgency: Memoir/Creative Nonfiction Through a Queer Lens” runs from August 9th to 13th; Mark Adams follows “In the Footsteps of Thoreau: A Drawing & Writing Workshop,” August 16th to 20th; and Nick Flynn explores “Memoir as Bewilderment,” August 23rd to 27th.
FAWC is opening its on-site apartments for individual residencies in writing and the visual arts, with a minimum two-week stay. These are open only to former fellows and students. There is also a one-week residency in the Michael Mazur Print Studio. Details at fawc.org.
