The Provincetown Independent publishes obituaries as news stories of enduring interest to the community. We welcome the submission of draft obituaries from family members, close friends, and funeral directors. All are subject to editing.
Send draft obituaries to [email protected]. Include photographs suitable for reproduction as .jpg digital files, sent “full size” or “actual size.” Also include the phone number of a family member or friend in case there are questions.
There is never a charge for publishing obituaries or notices of memorial services in the Independent. The editors are available for help with composing appropriate stories about the deaths of loved ones. For more information, call 508-237-8381.
