EASTHAM — The Nauset boys hockey team stayed hot, winning its 11th straight game and finishing its Cape and Islands Atlantic Division schedule undefeated.
The Warriors (14-1-1 overall) beat Barnstable High 7-1 on Saturday at Charles Moore Arena behind senior Cam Connery’s 2-goal, 2-assist performance. Junior Logan Poulin, the team’s leading scorer, tallied 2 goals and an assist.

Barnstable tied the game at 1-1 in the first period before Nauset exploded for six unanswered points. The Warriors have outscored opponents 64-7 since their last loss.
The Nauset-Monomoy girls hockey team split a pair of games last weekend and is 15-2-1 on the season. The Warriors swept the season series against Sandwich, winning 2-1 on Saturday before falling at Pope Francis 4-1 the next day.
Eighth-grader Maeve Kennally and sophomore Gaby Bassett each tallied a second-period goal against the Blue Knights, while senior Olivia Avellar stood strong in the net to help the Warriors hang on for the win on Saturday.

Juniors Peter Silvernail and Ashton Lutz and eighth-grader Jack Peno all advanced to States with their performances at wrestling sectionals at Foxboro on Saturday. Silvernail placed second in the 285-pound category, losing to Brady Benfeito of Brighton County/Dighton Rehoboth in the finals.
Lutz took third place, beating freshman Oakley Gully of Sandwich 4-2 in the 215-pound class.
Peno was defeated by Scituate’s Grayson Loeffel in the 132-pound consolation semifinal.
Boys basketball was eliminated from postseason contention, falling 82-48 to Wareham High on Friday at Nauset Regional Middle School. The loss dropped the Warriors to a 6-10 record with two games remaining.
Girls basketball lost 36-30 at Wareham on Friday to slip to 7-11.
