EASTHAM — The Nauset High golf team won two more matches in the last week over Martha’s Vineyard and Monomoy on Thursday and Tuesday, respectively, to move to 11-2 overall and keep their momentum as they head towards South Sectionals.
Junior Jack Martin shot an even par 35 to lift the Warriors to a 233-251 win over the Vineyarders at Farm Neck Golf Club. Sophomore Max St. Aubin posted a 2-over 37, while senior Sean Kipperman shot 38.
Martin and St. Aubin then fired 1-over 37s to carry the Warriors past the Sharks 237-254. Sophomore Zach Weiner posted a 38.
Nauset girls soccer dropped from 8th to 15th in the latest MIAA Division 3 Power Rankings, while boys soccer fell from 16th to 22nd.
The girls returned to winning ways, however, with a 3-1 victory over Martha’s Vineyard on Thursday. They backed that up with a resounding 7-0 win over Barnstable on Tuesday. The Warriors, who are 8-2 overall, saw Friday’s game at Bridgewater-Raynham postponed.
The boys soccer team, meanwhile, is 2-1-3 in its last six games, with a 7-1-3 record. The Warriors edged Martha’s Vineyard 2-1 on Thursday and played Barnstable to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.
Nauset field hockey swept the season series with Bridgewater-Raynham with a 3-1 road win on Friday. The Warriors have won their last three games to move to a 5-4-1 record.
Boys and girls cross country were in action for a dual meet at Barnstable High School on Tuesday.
Nauset football forfeited their game against Barnstable High School on Friday night.
Volleyball hosted Nantucket High School at Nauset Regional Middle School on Wednesday.
