Boys and girls lacrosse, boys and girls tennis, and softball all found out their postseason fates with the release of the playoff brackets on Wednesday after this edition’s deadline.
The Nauset boys and girls track teams placed 10th and 9th with 26 points and 29 points, respectively, at the Division 4 Track and Field Championships hosted by Notre Dame Academy last weekend. The boys meet was won by Burlington, and the girls was captured by Newburyport.

After a difficult start to the season, during which Nauset baseball had a 10-game run without a win, the Warriors ended their year with a come-from-behind 13-12 victory in extra innings against St. John Paul II on Thursday.
Nauset gave up six runs in the third inning and trailed 7-0 heading to the bottom of the third but responded with seven runs of their own to tie the game. They took the lead in the bottom of the fourth before the Lions made it 10-8. The Warriors couldn’t push a run past home plate in the fifth or six innings but scored four in the bottom of the seventh to send it to extras.
The Warriors got the winning run on a suicide squeeze by freshman Arthur Figueiredo with the bases loaded and no outs. They end their season at 7-12, winning six of their last eight games.
