EASTHAM — The Cape and Islands champion Nauset girls soccer team continued its dominance as the regular seasons for fall sports near their climaxes.
The girls easily dispatched Barnstable High School 5-0 last Thursday behind junior midfielder Olivia Avellar’s hat trick for their ninth win in a row. The Warriors, who improved to 12-1-1 on the season, were scheduled to play at Falmouth on Tuesday.
Their counterparts on the boys soccer team, meanwhile, played to a 3-3 draw with Barnstable at home on Thursday before dismantling Nantucket 5-0 on Sunday. The boys stood at 12-2-1 this season with three matches remaining; they, too, were slated to play at Falmouth on Tuesday.
Nauset football players saw their two-game winning streak come to an end in a 22-12 loss at Sandwich High School on Friday. The Warriors dropped to 4-3 on the season. The team plays Carver Middle High School at home on Friday — Senior Night.
The field hockey Warriors lost 2-1 at Monomoy on Saturday. The team is without a win in its last six outings, playing to draws in two of those; they are now 6-6-3 on the season. They were scheduled to play at Sturgis West Charter School on Tuesday.
Nauset Volleyball halted a three-game slide with a 3-0 sweep of Rising Tide Charter School on Monday. The Warriors (3-11) were scheduled to host Sturgis West Charter School on Senior Night on Wednesday.

Volleyball: The Warriors volleyball team ends its season with a visit to Sturgis East Charter School at the Hyannis Youth Community Center. First serve is at 5:30 p.m.
Football: Nauset hosts Carver Middle High School on Senior Night at 6 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 29
Girls Soccer: The Warriors travel to Pembroke for an 11 a.m. game.
Boys Soccer: Nauset welcomes Pembroke for a noon match.
Field Hockey: Nauset closes out the regular season at Duxbury High School at 1 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 31
Boys Soccer: The Warrior boys end their regular season with a visit to Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School.
Girls Soccer: Nauset finishes out the regular season with a trip to Bridgewater-Raynham High School. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
