In an exciting two-hour, 15-minute finals match, Anne Paradis, left, and Amy Farabaugh outlasted Deb Shapiro and Karen Shaw, 6-4, 4-6 (10-6) to win the women’s crown. In one semifinal, Farabaugh and Paradis defeated Maria Cirino and Betsy Barbeau, 6-4, 6-1. In the other, Shapiro and Shaw beat Kim Wilson and Mary Gillach, 6-4, 6-1.Jim Veninger, left, and Jonathan Hamilton celebrate their second consecutive title at the Provincetown Tennis Club’s doubles championships on Aug. 6 and 7. The two defeated Brad Howarth and Dave Bastien, 6-4, 6-1. In the semifinals, Veninger and Hamilton defeated Carlos Terra and Ray Faulkner, 6-3, 6-2, while Howarth and Bastien bested former two-time club champions Doug Coelho and Joe Hilton, 6-0, 6-1.
