EASTHAM — The Nauset boys basketball team got revenge on Monday. The Warriors defeated Cape Cod Academy 62-56 in a hard-fought battle. CCA had an 11-1 mark heading into the match and had handed Nauset one of only two losses, 65-61, on the season on Jan. 10.
With Monday’s win, the Nauset boys improved to 9-2. They are slated to play Nantucket on Friday afternoon at home before the team embarks on a tough stretch of games to finish the regular season.
Meanwhile, the Cape Cod Furies girls ice hockey team scored an impressive 5-1 victory over Nantucket last weekend. In an upset, the Nauset boys hockey team lost to Nantucket 4-3, dropping to 9-5 on the season. As of Tuesday, the team needed just one more win to earn a playoff berth.

Girls swimming: Nauset goes to the South Sectional tournament at Milford High.
Girls basketball: Nauset hosts Barnstable at 11 a.m.
Boys basketball: Barnstable and Nauset play at Barnstable High at 12:30 p.m.
Boys and girls indoor track: Nauset track and field athletes participate in the Last Chance Meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston at 1 p.m.
Boys ice hockey: It’s Senior Night for the Nauset boys as the team faces Martha’s Vineyard at Charles Moore Arena in Orleans at 4:30 p.m.
Girls ice hockey: It’s Senior Night for the Furies, too. The team faces Old Rochester High at Charles Moore Arena at 6:30 p.m.

Boys swimming: The boys swim team competes in the South Sectionals at Milford High.
Boys ice hockey: The Nauset Warriors take on the Monomoy Sharks at Tony Kent Arena at 3:10 p.m.

Girls ice hockey: The Barnstable Red Hawks host the Furies at Hyannis Youth Community Center at 6:30 p.m.

Girls basketball: The Falmouth Clippers host the Nauset Warriors at 6:30 p.m.
