I noticed costume designer and film producer Chester Algernal Gordon strolling through the West End on a warm day wearing an easy breezy two piece with an unusual pattern of green devilish grins. A closer look showed the fabric had been intricately cut in such a way that the pattern fluttered gently in the air, allowing brief and flirtatious glimpses of skin as it kept the wearer cool in the summer heat.
How’s Provincetown treating you this morning?
It’s beautiful — my first time here. The weather is gorgeous.
What a perfect day for that two piece.
I know — it’s air-conditioned! It’s a Walter Van Beierndonck ensemble I thrifted in Mexico City. It’s a moment, isn’t it?
It’s the moment of this moment, for sure. How did you decide what to bring here look-wise? Did you pack with a plan?
I checked the weather and asked friends, but I knew I could have fun with fashion here. As always, I keep it easy and cute — but not basic.
