George Avery Downing, who is called “Geo,” was born on Oct. 26, 2021 at Cape Cod Hospital to elated parents Catherine Graciano and Vanessa Downing.
The family lives in Brewster, but both of Geo’s mothers are also part of the Outer Cape community — Vanessa is the managing director at Wellfleet Preservation Hall, and Catherine is the school psychologist and counselor at Eastham Elementary School.
Geo joins a big family that includes four aunties, one uncle, and 13 cousins, all of whom are over the moon about his arrival. He has already met grandparents Anne and Joe Graciano of Newington, N.H., and he is packing his bags now for his first road trip, to Milton, Del., where he’ll spend his first Thanksgiving with his other grandparents, David and Martine Downing.
Geo is already enjoying sunset walks on the beach, snuggles with his big brother and roommate, Seamus the dog, and meeting new friends in the neighborhood.
