Notice is hereby filed that the Wellfleet Historical Commission will hold a remote Public Hearing on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11, 2025 AT 5:00 PM to review a proposed complete demolition of the following property:
William and Joy O’Connot, 90 Lecount Hollow Road, Map 30, Lot 9, BP-24-282. Reapplication for retroactive approval of demolition of a c.1847
building, following violation of previously approved partial demolition. Proposed demolition to include removal and replacement in kind of all windows,
siding, roof structure, and trim details. Demolition and removal of these items has already taken place.
Dan and Carla Powdermaker, 24 Way 55, Map 19, Lot 71. Application to demolish, reconstruct, and expand a c.1948 building within ‘The Colony’
off Chequessett Neck Road. The proposed work includes the introduction of additional square footage on the main level, as well as introducing a second floor.

POSITION OPENING
FINANCE DIRECTOR
The Town of Wellfleet Budget: $33 million including two enterprise funds), plus a very large lists of bonded and grant programs in ongoing capital projects seeks qualified applicants for the position of Director of Municipal Finance. Position is responsible for coordination of all financial activities of the Town, development of financial policies and practices, maintenance of municipal accounting systems, financial forecasting, capital planning and reporting and compliance with applicable legal/contractual obligations and procurements. The Finance Director is responsible to the Town Administrator.
The Director supervises the offices of the Town Treasurer/Collector and Assessor, performing all the statutory duties of that position including the supervision of the accounting department staff. Member of Senior Management team. The Director is responsible for the annual budgeting process, beginning with the forecast of municipal revenues and the formulation of guidelines with the Town Administrator for submission of budget requests, up to the timely issuance of the resulting tax bills. The position requires attendance at evening meetings, the majority of which are during the budget season.
Successful candidate should have 5 to 10 years or more years experience in Massachusetts municipal finance, preferably at the department head level; bachelors or masters (preferred) degree in finance, administration or accounting; a thorough knowledge in municipal finance (competent with UMAS) and budget management. CGA certification preferred. Applicant must have a proven record of strong and effective staff management, sound organizational skills, and the ability to be a strong leader in a collaborative work environment. Position requires superior writing and oral skills, the ability to manage a large number of tasks and projects simultaneously and be knowledgeable in current organization-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
