Public Hearing
October 29, 2024
In accordance with MGL Chapter 130, Sections 52, 57, 58, 60, and 68, MGL Chapter 30A, Section 2, and all applicable Town Shellfish Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Wellfleet Selectboard will hold a hybrid public hearing on October 29, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. to consider the following:
1) To amend the Town of Wellfleet’s Shellfishing Policy and Regulations, Section 7.19.5: Overwintering of Equipment on Grants to include condos and trays as proposed and recommended by the Shellfish Advisory Board at its September 23, 2024, meeting.
2) To amend the Town of Wellfleet’s Shellfishing Policy and Regulations, Appendix D: Overwintering Agreement to include condos and trays as proposed and recommended by the Shellfish Advisory Board at its September 23, 2024, meeting.
3) Request for initial term date for shellfish grant license #09-01 ext. consisting of 0.45 acres on Blackfish Creek, for two years beginning December 6, 2023, and ending December 6, 2025, for Patrick Winslow (Wellfleet, MA) and Chelsea Winslow (Wellfleet, MA), due to completed submission of all certifying paperwork for this new grant extension.
4) Request for the assignment of new boundary points of shellfish grant license #09-01 consisting of two acres on Blackfish Creek, for Patrick Winslow (Wellfleet, MA) and Chelsea Winslow (Wellfleet, MA) due to professional survey having been conducted.
5) Request for the assignment of new boundary points of shellfish grant license #2008-02 consisting of two acres on the Field Point area of Indian Neck, for Clinton Austin (Wellfleet, MA) and Kaitlyn Sarazin (Wellfleet, MA) due to professional survey having been conducted.
6) Request for the transfer of shellfish grant license #2008-01 consisting of .49 acres on Lieutenant Island, from Ralph Bassett (formerly of Wellfleet, MA), Russell Junkins (Wellfleet, MA), and Sheila Avery (Wellfleet, MA) to Russell Junkins and Sheila Avery.
Recommendations of the Shellfish Constable will be available in the October 29, 2024, Selectboard’s packet.
