Conservation Agent
The Town of Wellfleet is seeking to fill the position of Conservation Agent to assist and advise the Conservation Commission in interpreting and enforcing the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, Wellfleet Bylaws, and related state and local regulations. This position performs field inspections, prepares Orders of Conditions and related documents, community outreach and education, and all other related work as required. This is a full-time position 40 hours per week with benefits and is a union position (WEA Unit B). Compensation range is $60,614-82,008 commensurate with experience. Executive Session pursuant to G.L. c. 30A, Section 21(a)(3) to discuss strategy with respect to litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the public body and the Chair so declares that having a discussion in open session would have a detrimental effect on the Board’s litigating position on April 25, 2024, starting at 6:30 pm in person at the Adult Community Center, 715 Old King’s Highway, and remotely via Zoom.
Discuss litigation strategy with respect to Michael A. Shannon, et. al. v. Wellfleet Zoning Board of Appeals, Land Court Docket No. 23 MISC 000248 relative to the appeal of the Board’s decision to uphold the Building Commissioner’s determination regarding outdoor entertainment at 70 Main Street, Wellfleet.
