PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING
Sealed bids for construction of the Public Safety Building Envelope Improvements for the Town of Truro, Massachusetts, will be received at Truro Town Hall, 24 Town Hall Road, Clerks Office until 2:00 PM prevailing time, on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023, at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bid plans and specs can be downloaded by going to www.truro- ma.gov/home/pages/bids-proposals and navigating to the appropriate bid announcement.

The proposed renovations are to demolish existing windows and siding. New work consists of wood siding, pvc trim, and fiberglass windows.
The required contract completion period is 130 consecutive days.

Estimated construction cost: $575,000
General Contractor’s CATEGORY OF CERTIFICATION: General Construction
Bid security for all general bidders in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check, payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid, in accordance with the conditions in Section 00 21 13 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

SCHOOL COMMITTEE MINUTE TAKER
The Minute Taker is responsible for providing administrative support for the Truro School Committee in the form of taking minutes during School Committee meetings. This is a part-time, non-union position at a wage rate of $100 per meeting. Meetings take place at the school and remotely 1-2 times per month. Benefits are not offered as part of this position. The position reports directly to the School Superintendent.
Duties:
1.Attend or view meetings, record, and transcribe minutes of all School Committee meetings.
2.Format, edit, and email in a Google Document.
3.Meeting minutes must be completed and submitted to the administrator for the Superintendent/School Committee within 10 days of the meeting date.
4.Adheres to Massachusetts Open Meeting Law.
Knowledge: Knowledge of Massachusetts Open Meeting Law and Robert’s Rules of Order in regards to minutes is required. Proficiency in word processing, English grammar, and spelling.
Ability: Must have the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely fashion. Must also have the ability to concisely but thoroughly transcribe meetings in typed format.
Skills: Excellent written communication skills required. Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills, accurate and fast typing/word processing skills, and the ability to learn new vocabulary in regards to education.
Education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in minute taking for public agencies is helpful.
Job Environment: Work/hours assigned as needed and schedule is flexible. Work may be completed remotely or in person.
