The Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2025, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 25-39
Application by Tim Ernst, on behalf of Norman T. Ernst et vir., requesting to install a new 36” stockade picket fence with 4” x 4” chamfered-capped cedar posts on the property located at 60 Commercial Street.
HDC 25-81
Application by James Pina, on behalf of Dianne C. Webber, requesting to remove and rebuild a waterfront deck, to remove and replace a red cedar roof, 2 failing skylights, and an entry door, and to install a new gable end cover over the entryway on the structure located at 551 Commercial Street.

Application by Alejandra St. Guillen requesting to replace a fence on the property located at 19 Brewster Street, UA.

Application by Lee White, on behalf of Seamen’s Savings Bank, requesting to remove cement stucco from the north elevation and replace it with red cedar and to replace a second means of egress from the south elevation in kind with painted steel on the property located at 221-223 Commercial Street.

Application by Ted Smith, on behalf of Graham Homer Terrell, requesting to add a covered porch on a south elevation, a one-story addition on a west elevation, a reconfigured deck and pergola on a north elevation, new siding, and new wood windows on the structure located at 554 Commercial Street.

Application by Daniel Silva, on behalf of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Fall River, requesting to replace a cupola, siding, and a back door, and to repair window trim on the structure located at 124 Alden Street.

Application by Daniel Silva, on behalf of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Fall River, to repair and replace front columns and a door entry in kind, a side entry landing and steps, including constructing a roof overhang above the landing and steps to match the front roof overhang above the front landing and steps, and to replace a side door on the structure located at 11 Prince Street.

Application by Janet Frosti requesting to replace a rotted window in kind on the structure located at 11 Johnson Street.

Application by Ted Smith, on behalf of Lexvest 312-314 Commercial, LLC, requesting to replace storefront windows on the structure located at 314 Commercial Street.
HDC 25-96
Application by Brad Walker, on behalf of Scott T. Dodd Revocable Living Trust, requesting to replace windows, change window patterns, add historic trim at windows, including on any existing windows to remain, to add new wood louvered shutters on indicated exterior windows, to make changes to the extents of the roof eave trim, to construct rain guards to protect entry doors on the south elevation, and to make repairs to roof eaves in support of new gutters and downspouts on the structure located at 119 Commercial Street.

INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Town of Provincetown, MA will receive sealed bids for construction of Jerome Smith Pump Station, Contract No. 16716 and CWSRF No. 16716. The scope of work includes constructing one Submersible Pumping Station and all appurtenances to provide wastewater service to the Jerome Smith sewer subarea of Provincetown, MA.
Bids shall be submitted using the Town’s online procurement system located at the following link: https://www.provincetown-ma.gov/37/Procurement. Bids will be opened publicly at the Provincetown Department of Public Works, 2 Mayflower Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 on MAY 1, 2025, AT 10:00 AM LOCAL
A non-mandatory Pre-bid Conference will be held on April 24, 2025, at the Provincetown Department of Public Works, 2 Mayflower Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Bidders will have an opportunity to view the site of the work during the non-mandatory Pre-bid Conference.

Application by Ted Smith, on behalf of Meadows Realty Trust, seeking a Special Permit pursuant to Article 2, Section 2640, Building Scale, and Article 3, Section 3110, Change, Extensions or Alterations, of the Zoning By-Laws to add dormers up and along pre-existing, non-conforming east and west side elevations on the front portion of the structure and add a second story up and along a pre-existing, non-conforming north rear elevation onto a one-story portion of the structure, thereby increasing the total building scale of the structure that is already in excess of the maximum allowable neighborhood building scale on the property located at 42 Bradford Street (Residential 3 Zone).

The Town of Provincetown is accepting applications for an opening in the Department of Public Works/Buildings & Grounds Division for Veterans Memorial Community Center Custodian.
