POSITION OPENINGS
2025 PIER AND HARBOR SEASONAL POSITIONS
The Town of Provincetown is accepting applications for the following seasonal positions
Seasonal Pier Patrol – The position works under the direction of the Pier Manager (or designee) and I is responsible for maintaining pier safety and security and ensuring compliance with the MacMillan Pier and Harbor Regulations. Duties include conducting patrols of the pier to ensure compliance with the MacMillan Pier Regulations, coordinating ferry boat loading and offloading, emergency response and the documentation of incidents and
communication with staff and the many users of the pier. Also include assisting with miscellaneous maintenance/clean up and upkeep as directed by the Pier Manager. F/T, 40 hours per week @ $21.17. Employment season starts approximately mid-April and ends mid-October.
Seasonal Pier Maintenance Tech Supervisor – Works under the direction of the Pier Manager (or designee) on long-term and short-term operational, mechanical, infrastructural and maintenance related projects. P/T, approximately 20 hours per week @ $25.60, flexible work schedule. Employment season starts approximately mid-April and ends mid-October.
Deputy Harbormaster – works under the direction of the Harbormaster (or designee) and is responsible for assisting the Harbormaster with all duties and tasks of the office. This position is responsible for enforcing state and local laws and regulations for the protection and safety of the professional and general boating public on Provincetown’s waterways. Performs supervisory, administrative, and patrol work in the management of the Town’s harbor, landings, waterways, ways to water, floats, docks, marinas, mooring fields, and shoreline. Performs a variety of enforcement, rescue, and other public safety duties. This position will also be responsible to assist with the job duties of the Pier Patrol when needed. F/T 40 hours per week starting @ $25.60. Employment season starts approximately mid-April and ends mid-October and may extend further into the off-season as needed.
