The Provincetown Community Preservation Committee will conduct a hybrid public hearing on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 to obtain input on applications for Community Preservation Funds as listed below. The Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2025, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.

2024 GROWTH MANAGEMENT REPORT
Public Hearing
February 24, 2025
The Provincetown Select Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Judge Welsh Room, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 on the 2024 Annual Report on Growth Management, pursuant to Section 6600(3) of the Provincetown Zoning By-laws.
Said report shall evaluate the effects of growth on our resources including but not limited to potable water supply, solid waste disposal and wastewater disposal, as well as an update on the Town’s affordable housing needs assessment and demand for Economic Development. The Select Board will be asked to make a finding that the Town is in compliance with its DEP water withdrawal permit and set the rate of growth for the upcoming year. Copies of the Growth Management report, including the average daily water withdrawal for the Provincetown Water System, are available at Town Hall and online at www.provincetown-ma.gov as of February 6, 2025.

2025 SEASONAL DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS POSITIONS
The Town of Provincetown is accepting applications for the following seasonal positions with the Department of Public Works:
Highway Department Laborer: F/T, 40 hours per week @ $21.77. Employment season starts approximately mid April and ends mid October. Two positions available.
Transfer Station/Sanitation Laborer: F/T, 40 hours per week @$21.77. Employment season starts approximately mid May and ends mid October. One position available.
Comfort Station Attendants, Municipal Parking Lot Restrooms: P/T and F/T positions available. The first hiring will be for 30 weeks @$20.56 per hour. Employment season is April 1st to November 1st. The second hiring will be for 20 weeks @$20.56 per hour. Employment season will be end of April to end of September
Fire House Comfort Station and Town Hall Public Bathroom Attendants: 20 weeks @ $20.56 per hour Employment Season is May 1st to November 1st.
Beautification Maintenance: F/T, 40 hours per week for 28 weeks @$21.17 per hour. Employment season starts approximately mid May and ends mid October. Two positions available.
Groundskeeper Maintenance: F/T, 40 hours per week for 21 weeks @ $21.17 per hour. Employment season starts approximately mid May and ends mid October. One position available.

HARBORMASTER
The Harbormaster manages all marine related activities both on in off MacMillian Pier, and in the Harbor, and Waterways. Enforces state and local laws and regulations for the protection and safety of the professional and general boating public on Provincetown’s waterways under general supervision. Performs supervisory, administrative, and patrol work in the management of the Town’s harbor, landings, waterways, ways to water, floats, docks, marinas, mooring fields, and shoreline. Performs a variety of enforcement, rescue, and other public safety duties.

The Town of Provincetown is now accepting applications for the following seasonal positions with the Parking Department. The 2025 Parking Season runs May 1st through October 31st; employment schedules are dependent on weekly need. Paid training will be scheduled prior to the opening of the season.
Parking Lot Technical Manager: This position is 40 hours/week Mid-March – Mid November may include nights, weekends, and holidays, at $23.07 – $23.76 an hour.
Parking Lot Assistant Technical Manager: This position is 40 hours/week from mid–April to mid–November and may include nights, weekends, and holidays, at $21.77 – $22.42 an hour.
Entrance Booth Attendant: Provides customer service, manages traffic flow, works in all types of weather, and troubleshoots electronic errors. Basic computer skills are required.
This position 16 to 40 hours a week, may include nights, weekends, and holidays, at $21.17 – $21.80 an hour.
Exit Booth Attendant: Performs basic accounting transactions, manages flow of traffic, provides customer service, and troubleshoots electronic errors. Basic computer skills are required. This position 16 to 40 hours a week, may include nights, weekends, and holidays, at $21.17 – $21.80 an hour.
