ASSESSORS’ NOTICE
To all persons subject to taxation in the Town of Provincetown: Fiscal Year 2026
In accordance with the provisions of General Laws, Ch. 59, § 29, all individuals, partnerships, associations ort rusts, and corporations, residents of or owning property located in Provincetown are hereby notified that they are required, on or before March 1, 2025, to bring in to the Board of Assessors in the form prescribed by the Commissioner of Revenue, true lists of property. All taxable tangible personal property shall be listed on the following forms:
Form 2– For all personal property of individuals, partnerships, associations, trusts and corporations doing business in the above municipality.
Form 2HF– For all household furnishings and effects of individuals if kept at a place other than their domicile.
Form 3(ABC) -For all real and personal property held for literary, temperance, benevolent, charitable or scientific purposes on January 1, 2025, or, at the election of the corporation, on the last day of its fiscal year last preceding January 1, 2025, such lists to include the amount of receipts and expenditures for said purposes during the year of the return. Fraternal Benefit Corporations, which make returns to the Commissioner of Insurance under General Laws, Chapter 176, § 38, are not required to file this list. Blanks for all forms may be obtained at the Office of the Board of Assessors (260 Commercial Street) or will be mailed by the assessors upon request or on our Web Site at www.Provincetown-Ma.gov, =>Departments => Assessor’s => Frequently Used Forms.

Historic District Commission
Public Hearing
February 5, 2025
The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 24-348
Application by Ted Smith, on behalf of Lexvest 312-314 Commercial, LLC, requesting to renovate an existing first-floor storefront, including removing and replacing doors, windows, siding, trim, and a canopy over an entry door, removing and re-configuring a wood stair to a second floor and a storage structure, and installing miscellaneous trash and recycling enclosures on the property located at 312 Commercial Street.
HDC 24-354
Application by Greg Shoukimas requesting to replace an existing door in a storage room at the front of a structure located at 205 Bradford Street.
HDC 24-360
Application by Brad Walker, on behalf of the Chambers-Kusy Living Trust, requesting to renovate a structure, including demolishing and reconstructing additions at the rear of the property within their existing footprints, adding a new garage with a second story and rebuilding a one-story connecting structure with a rebuilt roof deck, reconstructing and lifting the roof 2’ by adding a reconfigured dormer/head-house on the top floor, re-proportioning and improving the eave and cornice trim, and replacing all windows except the three windows to the left of an entry, which will be returned to two, changing the attic trapezoid to a double-hung, and re-locating other windows on the property located at 146 Commercial Street.

January 23, 2025
The Provincetown School Committee will hold a Public Hearing for Proposals to the FY26 School Budget on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the Library at Provincetown Schools, 12 Winslow St., Provincetown, MA 02657. A copy of the proposed FY24 School Budget is available for public review in the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 12 Winslow St., Provincetown, or the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, 260 Commercial St., Provincetown, MA.
