FY2025 Property Tax Rate Classification
August 26, 2024
The Provincetown Select Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Judge Welsh Room, Provincetown Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown MA 02657, pursuant to MGL c. 40, §56, for the purpose of determining the percentages of the local tax levy to be borne in Fiscal Year 2024 by each class of real and personal property: residential, open space, commercial, and industrial.
The public is encouraged to submit any comments in writing to the office of the Board of Selectmen, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02675 or by email to [email protected] no later than 12 noon on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, or in person at the hearing.

The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 24-215
Application by Kaye McFadden, on behalf of Martha S. Brousseau et ux., requesting to build a dormer on the north elevation and extend a dormer on the south elevation of a structure on the property located at 12A Pleasant Street.
HDC 24-216
Application by Russell Perry, on behalf of William J. Schwartz et ux., requesting to replace windows, skylights, and sliders, to add new trim and siding, and to construct a dormer extension on the southwest elevation on the structure located at 577 Commercial Street, UCTG.
HDC 24-218
Application by Alicia Anderson, on behalf of Thomas Penque, requesting to replace a window with a slider and to install 4 skylights on the structure located at 18 Franklin Street, U2.
HDC 24-225
Application by Joel Harms requesting to add a 36” picket fence in the back yard to enclose a brick patio and inside a privet hedge with a 32” wide gate on the property located at 518 Commercial Street.

Public Hearing
August 20, 2024
In accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. c. 131, s. 40) and/or Provincetown General Bylaws Chapter 12, Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Provincetown Conservation Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in the Judge Welsh Room, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA, to consider the following in addition to cases continued from previous hearings:
CON-24-99 307 Commercial Street Notice of Intent filed by Provincetown Chamber of Commerce, Inc. to elevate existing structure. Work to take place within Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage.
CON-24-100 575 Commercial Street Request for Determination of Applicability filed by Steve Reilly to replace beach access stairs with improved design. Work to take place within Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage and Coastal Beach.
