The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 24-177
Application by Alicia Anderson, on behalf of Edna O. Meyers, requesting to convert an existing window to a Dutch door and add a step on the north elevation of the structure located at 535-537 Commercial Street, U6.
HDC 24-180
Application by Matthew Francke, on behalf of Andrew P. Selwyn Irrevocable Trust, requesting to elevate a structure by 5’ to meet current FEMA standards and construct a new, vented foundation wall around the perimeter of the structure with 3 access doors, to raise an existing fence on the Commercial Street side of the structure and eliminate a through-wall AC unit on the front façade, to extend first, second, and third floor decks to the south and add new wood railings with vertical stainless steel cable infills, to extend entrance stairs on the southwest elevation to connect with the first floor deck, and to extend existing northeast egress stairs to the new grade on the property located at 453 Commercial Street.

Application by Jane Schuette, on behalf of the RP Stiles & JL Schuette Revocable Trust, requesting to extend an existing south elevation porch by 6’ and to the left of a central stair to accommodate seating and to create a 30” high storage area below the porch extension on the property located at 659 Commercial Street.
