The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 23-211
Application by Cass Benson requesting to replace a window on the structure located at 359 Commercial Street, U4.
HDC 23-257
Application by Matthew Brouillard requesting to extend a dormer by 3’ on the structure located at 8 Winslow Street.
HDC 23-275
Application by John Lyons, on behalf of Vincent V. Pacellini et al., requesting to replace 2 doors on an east elevation and existing wood windows with vinyl windows on the structure located at 128B Commercial Street.

Application by Alfred Williams, on behalf of John Dillon Sapp, requesting to repair leaks between roofing shingles and sheathing, and entering through the trim, to detach and remove decking and a stairway as needed, to replace siding, framing, and a window header as needed, to add framing to a current roof structure and to construct a new 6% pitch to a roof section over a window and under a deck to redirect water flow, and to remount exterior stair landing above a new shallow roof on the structure located at 8 Conant Street, U1.

Application by Alex Taratuta, on behalf of The Last Contingency, LLC, requesting to replace all cedar shingles along the west, east, and south elevations with Hardie-shingle siding in a straight-edge style and to replace wood trim in-kind along the west and east elevations on the structure located at 151 Commercial Street.

Application by Steven Azar, on behalf of 9 Carver LLC, requesting to remove existing railings and restore with new railings, to restore an exterior stairwell structure, to remove storage areas and install a double door, to install a new bar at grade on a new patio under a porch, to restore picket and add privacy fencing,to remove all existing exterior barriers, and to rebuild an existing overhang structure into a deck with a railing on the property located at 9 Carver Street.

The Town of Provincetown is accepting applications for an opening in the DPW Water Department for Administrative Assistant. This is a 40 hour a week positions that is responsible for the managing all financial aspects of the Water Department including bill pay, recordkeeping and scheduling as well as any and all other tasks as required or assigned. Office Manager DPW
The Town of Provincetown is accepting applications for an opening in the DPW administrative staff for Office Manager. This is a 40 hour a week positions that works under the general supervision of the DPW Director, DPW Deputy Director, Senior Project Manager and Facilities Manager and will be responsible for managing all financial aspects in support of the department including but not limited to billing, grant management, special project management, bookkeeping and any other task assigned by staff.
