The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 23-203
Application by Stefanie Carlson, on behalf of Shire Max, LLC, requesting to remove a white fence in the front of the yard and add white fencing along a side yard area on the property located at 5 Tremont Street.
HDC 23-217
Application by Tom Fitzgerald, on behalf of 137 Commercial GMC Ptown, LLC, requesting to replace the decking and railings on an upper rear deck, decking on the lower rear deck, and roofing and siding on the front and two sides of the structure, replacing any rotted trim boards with primed pine boards on the property located at 137 Commercial Street.

Application by Tom Fitzgerald, on behalf of Frank S. Campo, requesting to add a porch and overhang across the front of a structure, to replace all windows, all siding with white cedar shingles and horizontal lap siding, all trim with new primed pine trim in matching dimensions to existing, the front door, and the garage door, and to construct a new deck and stairs on the rear of the structure located at 291 Bradford Street.

Application by Matthew Metivier requesting to add a utility/garden shed on the property located at 7 Bradford Street.

Application by Jeffrey Tagen requesting to replace an existing line of hedges with a picket fence and gate on the property located at 34 Alden Street.

Application by Tim Utt, on behalf of Ricardo Rodriguez et vir., requesting to replace a chimney on the structure located at 535-537 Commercial Street.

Application by Ryan Campbell, on behalf of Richard H. Patt, requesting to renovate a structure, including removing and relocating exterior windows, replacing siding, roofing, doors, decks, stairs, and railings, a retaining wall, removing and replacing skylights with dormers, and adding an in-ground spa on the property located at 3 Carver Court.

Application by Jim Hannon, on behalf of Dianne Weber, requesting to replace and reconfigure windows, including replacing a three-wide double-hung setup with a patio door on the structure located at 551 Commercial Street.

Provincetown Cultural Council
Cultural District grant applications and Public Forum
The Provincetown Cultural Council will accept applications from individuals and organizations for activities that enhance the cultural opportunities in Provincetown. Provincetown Cultural District grants are intended to encourage new cultural activity as well as outreach to both visitors and residents in Provincetown.
Cultural District grant applications are available on the Cultural Council page on the Provincetown website and must be submitted by Monday November 6, 2023, using one of the below methods:
- Hand deliver to the Town Clerk office in Town Hall no later than 5pm
- Email to: [email protected] no later than 5pm
- Mail to: Provincetown Cultural Council, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 postmarked no later than November 6, 2023.
Provincetown Cultural Council will hold a public forum to provide information on the Cultural District Grant application on October 25, 2023 at 5:30 PM in Caucus Hall in Provincetown Town Hall. This forum is to help prospective grant applicants better understand the expectations in completing the grant application.

The Provincetown Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 12 2023, at 6 P.M. in the Judge Welsh Room, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 to hear comments from the public and vote on proposed amendments to the Provincetown Zoning Bylaws for the October 23, 2023 Special Town Meeting Warrant, as well as any other land use bylaw articles or proposed petitioned articles concerning zoning, land use, or development. This may include, but is not limited to, Articles 4, 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14. A copy of the Special Town Meeting Warrant is available for public inspection at the Office of the Town Clerk, Provincetown Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657.
