This is a full time 40 hour a week position, Monday through Friday with additional time, as required, evenings and weekends with possible travel. This is a Grade 7 Non-union position with a starting salary range of $60,375 – $78,391. Said report shall evaluate the effects of growth on our resources including but not limited to potable water supply, solid waste disposal and wastewater disposal, as well as an update on the Town’s affordable housing needs assessment and demand for Economic Development. The Select Board will be asked to make a finding that the Town is in compliance with its DEP water withdrawal permit and set the rate of growth for the upcoming year. Seasonal Night Watchperson – Deck Safety Crew Patrol Person – Works under the supervision of the Pier Manager, Deputy Pier Manager and/or The Maintenance Tech Supervisor to facilitate and support the organizational goals and responsibilities of the Pier Corp Board of Directors. F/T, 40 hours per week starting @ $25.10. Employment season starts approximately mid-April and ends mid-October.
Seasonal Assistant Harbormaster – Works under the supervision of the Harbormaster and the Deputy Harbormaster to facilitate and support the organizational goals and responsibilities of the Pier Corp Board of Directors. Street Sweeping 2023
The Town of Provincetown Street Sweeping regulations will go into effect beginning on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 through Thursday, October 5, 2023. Parking is prohibited and violators will be ticketed and towed on Commercial Street in street sweeping zones from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as follows:
- Monday: Intersection of Commercial Street and Bradford Street to Kendall Lane
- Tuesday: Kendall Lane to Bangs Street
- Wednesday: Bangs Street to Pearl Street
- Thursday: Central Street to The Provincetown Inn
Beginning April 1, 2023, all other parking rules and regulations will be in effect on Commercial Street, and users are reminded to read all signs and markings and park vehicles only in properly designated areas.
Vehicles parking in violation of regulations will be subject to a minimum of a $100 parking fine. Any further questions on parking regulations may be referred to the Parking Department at 508-487-7050 or [email protected].

In accordance with §2-3-g of the Provincetown Charter, the Commission will hold a Public Hearing on TUESDAY, MARCH 21, 2023, AT 6:00 P.M. in the Judge Welsh Hearing Room, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA to hear comments from the public and to determine the number of Board members in favor or opposed to the articles relating to the natural environment on the warrant of the April 3, 2023, Annual Town Meeting.
This meeting will be conducted in person; however, members of the public may participate remotely. Comments may be submitted in writing no later than Monday, March 20, 2023, 12:00 p.m., by mail to the Conservation Agent, Department of Community Development, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657, by email to [email protected], or by remote participation during the hearing by dialing (833) 579-7589; when prompted, enter the following conference number: 935 233 078#. Instructions for participating via the Microsoft Teams app can be found on the meeting agenda, which will be posted on the Town’s website at least 48 hours before the time of the meeting. The meeting will also be broadcast live on PTV GOV Channel 18 and online at http://www.provincetowntv.org/watch.html.
