The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 23-4
Application by Timothy Curley-Egan, on behalf of 6 Carver Street Nominee Trust, requesting to replace a wooden deck on the property located at 6 Carver Street.
HDC 23-20
Application by Scott Ehlen requesting to install a new foundation/basement, to replace windows, siding, and roofing shingles, to add a pergola and a shed dormer, to restore and relocate an existing chimney, and to restore a ‘false’ chimney on the structure located at 8 Law Street.
HDC 23-24
Application by Ted Smith, on behalf of Firas Shilaimon et al., requesting to add a third dormer to match existing dormers on the structure located at 366 Commercial Street.

Application by Eric Larsen, on behalf of Jo Ann Hirshhorn, requesting to replace an existing foundation and grade-level deck that were undermined during a storm and to repair and rebuild a compromised foundation wall, install new footings and a separation wall, and to reconstruct the deck in its former location on the property located at 629 Commercial Street.

Application by Eric Larsen, on behalf of John Jemerin et al., requesting to demolish a rear deck damaged by storm action, including installing new railings to code height and spacing, and to replace it on existing support pilings on the property located at 641 Commercial Street.

Position Openings
2023 Seasonal Department of Public Works Positions
The Town of Provincetown is accepting applications for the following seasonal positions with the Department of Public Works:
Highway Department Laborer: F/T, 40 hours per week @ $20.16. Employment season starts approximately mid April and ends mid October. Two positions available.
Transfer Station/Sanitation Laborer: F/T, 40 hours per week @$20.16 Employment season starts approximately mid May and ends mid October. One position available.
Comfort Station Attendants, Municipal Parking Lot Restrooms: P/T and F/T positions available. The first hiring will be for 30 weeks @$20.16 per hour. Employment season is April 1st to November 1st. The second hiring will be for 20 weeks @$20.16 per hour. Employment season will be end of April to end of September
Fire House Comfort Station and Town Hall Public Bathroom Attendants: 20 weeks @ $20.16per hour Employment Season is May 1st to November 1st.
Beautification Maintenance: F/T, 40 hours per week for 28 weeks @$20.16 per hour. Employment season starts approximately mid May and ends mid October. Two positions available.
Groundskeeper Maintenance: F/T, 40 hours per week for 21 weeks @ $20.16 per hour. Employment season starts approximately mid May and ends mid October. One position available.
