On January 19, 2023, the Provincetown Board of Health approved the following changes to the Board of Health regulations:.
- Section 600: SUBSURFACE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS (prior regulation) to
- Section 600: SANITARY SEWAGE DISPOSAL AND WASTEWATER FLOW ALLOCATIONS (revised regulation).
The Provincetown Board of Health held a public hearing on the proposed regulations posted to http://www.provincetown-ma.gov/1419/Proposed-Regulations, on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Amended regulations, effective upon 2/2/23 publication will be posted to http://www.provincetown-ma.gov/461/Bylaws-Regulations
Board of Health approved 5-0-0.

SEASONAL POLICE OFFICERS
The Provincetown Police Department is now accepting employment applications for the 2023 summer season for the positions of Seasonal Police Officer.
Requirements for Summer Police Officers include:
- High School Graduate
- Drivers License
- Massachusetts Police Academy Training
- Current CPR and First Responder Certification
- Current Firearms Certification
The Seasonal Police Officer positions are 40 hour/week (5 on/2 off) positions on a variety of different schedules. Applicants will attend 80 hours of paid training upon selection. Applicants must be available from Mid May through Mid August.
Current rates of pay are:- $25.10 per hour and $25.83 after July 1st, 2023.
