Citizen Petitioned Articles
The Town of Provincetown will be hosting two informational sessions to assist citizens with drafting petition articles for the April 4, 2022, Annual Town Meeting. A staff member will be available on Thursday, February 10, 2022, and Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. to answer any questions regarding the process and writing of a petitioned article. Appointments are required.

The Provincetown Public Pier Corporation will hold a Public Hearing/Stakeholders meeting on Wednesday evening, February 23rd, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Judge Welch room, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 for an open discussion with all stakeholders to gather information and receive comments on the subject of the West side of MacMillan Pier excursion float users, sub-tenants and the inclusion of excursion float 1E on the east side as well as all subtenants and users. Discussions may also include fees, rates, and insurances.

SUMMER POLICE OFFICERS
The Provincetown Police Department is now accepting employment applications for the 2022 summer season for the positions of Summer Police Officer.
Requirements for Summer Police Officers include:
High School Graduate
Drivers License
Massachusetts Reserve Intermittent Police Academy Certification
Current CPR and First Responder Certification
Current Firearms Qualification is also desirable
The Summer Police Officer positions are 40 hour/week (5 on/2 off) positions on a variety of different schedules. Applicants will attend 80 hours of paid training upon selection. Applicants must be available from Mid May through Mid August.
Current rates of pay are: $21.55 per hour.

The Provincetown Harbor Committee will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 , at 5:00 P.M., in the Caucus Hall at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 to consider the following changes to Chapter 2 of the Harbor Regulations:
Article 2. Beaches
3-2-1 Vessels, including their lines and anchors, shall not be located on public beaches unless they receive written authorization and appropriate permits from the Harbormaster. The owner of any unauthorized vessel which is located on a public beach shall be subject to ticketing and/or removal and storage at the expense of the owner,16 pursuant to 3-2-3 (b).28
a) No vessel over 17 12 feet may be stored on public beaches from April 15th to November 15th28 No vessel with an enclosed cabin a motor, mast, or control/helm station may be stored on public beaches. for more than 7 days per calendar year.12
