Visitor Services Board
VSB Announces Tourism Marketing Grant Opportunities for FY 2023
The Visitor Services Board is seeking grant proposals for events and marketing funding under the Tourism Fund for Fiscal Year 2023 (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023).
Proposals will be accepted from non-profit organizations, individuals, or businesses conducting an event, activity, or project located in the Town of Provincetown. Funding will be awarded to events promoting and enhancing the shoulder and winter seasons. Matching Marketing Grants are also available for projects and programs which promote year-round tourism in Provincetown.
Application will be available beginning October 14, 2021 and must be submitted by Monday December 6, 2020. All applications must be submitted using the online program. Grant Application information can be found at http://www.provincetown-ma.gov/591/Tourism

Application by Seth Kaplowitz seeking a Special Permit pursuant to Article 2, Section 2640, Building Scale, of the Zoning By-Laws, for the extension of an existing dormer by 8’4” on both the east and west elevations, adding volume to the building scale, which is already above the neighborhood average scale, on the property located at 457-459 Commercial Street, U1 (Residential 3 Zone).

Application by Lynn Mogell, on behalf of Sarah K. Peake et ux., seeking a Special Permit pursuant to Article 3, Section 3110, Change, Extensions, or Alterations, of the Zoning By-Laws to extend up and along a pre-existing, non-conforming lot line on a southeast corner to add a second floor on the structure located at 21 Dewey Avenue, U8 (Residential 1 Zone).

Application by Ted Smith, on behalf of Harbor Hill Condominium Trust, seeking a Special Permit pursuant to Article 2, Section 2640, Building Scale, and Article 3, Section 3110, Change, Extensions, or Alterations, of the Zoning By-Laws to revise a previously approved Special Permit by altering a dormer and a roof deck, including an access stairway to the roof deck, and a deck cut into a roof gable on the southwest corner up and along pre-existing, non-conforming front and side yard setbacks, thereby increasing the building scale of the structure located at 41 Bradford Street Extension (Residential 1 Zone).

Public Notice
General Bylaw Chapter 11-6-6, Trees & Shrubs Obstructions in the Public Ways: In order to preserve and promote the safety of the public, no property owner shall permit any hedge, tree, brush or natural growth to encroach within the public way in a manner that becomes a physical or visual obstruction to any vehicle or pedestrian. All property owners are required to trim or remove such obstructions by Thursday, November 18, 2021 or the Department of Public Works will remove all obstructions without further notice. Questions should be directed to the Department of Public Works at 508-487-7060.

Historic District Commission
The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.

The Town of Provincetown is seeking quotes for construction of a stormwater improvements project. Electronic copies of Quote Documents can be obtained from GHD Inc. after 2:00 p.m. on October 27, 2021, via email request to Craig Curtin at [email protected].
