INVITATION FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for furnishing the following will be received at the Office of the Town Administrator, 2500 State Highway, Eastham, MA 02642, until the time specified below at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read: ITEM: Beach Plum Motor Lodge Site and Sewage Disposal System Installation, consisting of but not limited to: site work including abandoning of existing septic system, installation of septic tanks, pump chamber, soil absorption system, and site restoration. The contractor shall furnish all equipment, tools, labor and materials to complete project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained on the Town of Eastham website at www.eastham-ma.gov/Bids.aspx. Bids will be opened on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, issued by a responsible trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held at 2555 Route 6, Eastham, MA 02642 on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 09:00 a.m. A payment bond in an amount equal to 50 percent of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract as well as a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 50 percent of the total contract price. All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including G.L. c.30, § §39M, as amended. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive. Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.

Case No. PB2023-15 – 4900 State Highway Map 5, Parcel 122B, Jay Pawa (Owner/Applicant) seeks Site Plan Special Permit pursuant to Eastham Zoning By-Law Section 3.8.5 – Eastham Corridor Special District Use Regulations and Section 3.9.6.2 – Table of regulatory Review for New Development to operate a Food Truck on the premises where such use requires a Site Plan Special Permit from the Eastham Planning Board.
