Notice of Availability of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for SouthCoast Wind Energy LLC’s Proposed Wind Energy Facility Offshore Massachusetts
You are invited to attend virtual public hearings on the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s (BOEM) Notice of Availability (NOA) of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed SouthCoast Wind Energy Facility Project (formerly Mayflower Wind Project), which would be located approximately 30 miles south of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and 23 miles south of Nantucket, Mass. The NOA was published on February 17, 2023, and the 45-day comment period will end on April 3, 2023. Three virtual public hearings will be held at the following dates and times (Eastern):

The virtual hearings are open to the public and free to attend. Comments may be submitted electronically via regulations.gov by searching for Docket No. BOEM-2023-0011 and clicking “Comment.” Comments may also be submitted by mail with envelopes labeled “SouthCoast Wind DEIS” and addressed to Program Manager, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Office of Renewable Energy, 45600 Woodland Road (VAM-OREP), Sterling, Virginia 20166. Comments must be received or postmarked no later than April 3, 2023. BOEM does not consider anonymous comments. Please include your name and address as part of your submittal. All comments submitted will be made part of the public record and will be posted publicly without change.
