Marti Gould Cummings Is Done With 2019
Enjoy “2019 Is So Over!” — an evening of stories, songs, and drag with Marti Gould Cummings and Blake Allen on piano on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 27-28, at 7 p.m. at Pilgrim House at 336 Commercial St. in Provincetown. Tickets are $30 at pilgrimhouseptown.com.
Cummings is more than just a pretty face: she’s the founding president of Hell’s Kitchen Democrats in Manhattan, where she’s a member of the local community board. And she made OUT Magazine’s Out 100 list in 2018. An activist with a sense of humor: who’d-a thunk it?
Well-Strung for the Holidays
Well-Strung, the buff, young, all-male, pop-classical string ensemble, will perform a concert of Christmas music, “Home for the Holidays,” on Sunday, Dec. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Provincetown Town Hall at 260 Commercial St. Tickets are $35-$75 at provincetownarthouse.com.
The group is “a cross between boy band and string quartet,” said the New York Daily News, “the hottest things with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games.” The players are Chris Marchant (second violin) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola), who were contestants together on the 30th season of TV’s Amazing Race; Edmund Bagnell (first violin), who was in Provincetown a few weeks ago as a solo act; and Daniel Shevlin (cello).
