Gifts of David Murphy Collection at PAAM
The exhibit “Recent Gifts From the David Murphy Collection” will have an opening reception at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum at 460 Commercial St. on Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be on view through May 19, 2020.
Sharing the opening reception is another exhibit, “Highlights From the Permanent Collection.” It will be on view through Feb. 2.
Both shows were curated by Christine McCarthy, CEO of PAAM.
Julia Salinger Artwork at Preservation Hall
An exhibit of work by Julia Salinger, “What’s Now?,” is at Wellfleet Preservation Hall at 335 Main St. through Jan. 6. An artist’s reception will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Salinger is a visual artist, poet, printmaker, playwright, performer, and actor (currently appearing in the Provincetown Theater’s production of It’s a Wonderful Life) who lives in Wellfleet.
Writer’s Café Features Jere Lorenzo Miller
Author Jere Lorenzo Miller will discuss the writing and publishing of his book, Family: A Battle at Kruger Lake, at this month’s Writer’s Café at the Provincetown Public Library at 356 Commercial St. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The evening will begin with an open mic. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be served. Admission is by free will donation.
