Northern Long-Eared Bat (threatened, endangered). Scientists know them by their calls, and catch them in mist nets. These guys frequent kettle ponds. Across the dunes and forests of Cape Cod and the Seashore, 8 species of bats have been found. They eat massive amounts of insects every night. (White Nose Syndrome found on Cape Cod in 2012.)
