Fall fruit, incoming! You’ll find Asian pears that were organically grown in Wellfleet at the Wild Blossoms Apothecary stand in addition to herbal remedies. The pears will eventually get soft, but these are so excellent on the crunchy side that you really don’t need to wait. At the Narrowland Farm stall run by John Portnoy, you’ll find seckel pears. This is a very small, sweet variety that is also best, at least in Portnoy’s opinion, on the crisp side.
A note to all marketgoers: Monday, Sept. 15 is the last Truro Farmers’ Market day of the season. Consider a visit to see all your favorite Truro farmers one more time.
