HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
The Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16, 2025, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 25-63
Application by Stanley Wiafe, on behalf of 596-A Commercial Street Realty Trust, requesting to remove an existing addition in the rear of a structure and replace it with a 12’ addition, which will not be visible from a public way on the property located at 289 Bradford Street.
HDC 25-64
Application by Nancy Lockwood requesting a minor modification of a previously approved plan to supplant an attached open porch/deck covered by a hip roof with a patio and pergola on the structure located at 1 Holway Avenue, U1A.
HDC 25-71
Application by Andrew Hornbaker, on behalf of Steven M. Sokoll, requesting to remove a slider and install a studded wall with new sheathing and matching siding on the structure located at 15 Cottage Street, U9.
HDC 25-73
Application by Walaci Machado, on behalf of GK Portfolio, LLC, requesting to remove and replace a brick patio with a deck on the property located at 406 Commercial Street.
HDC 25-79
Application by Greg Mazares, on behalf of GK Portfolio, LLC, requesting to replace existing windows and to create a new opening for an additional window on the structure located at 406 Commercial Street.

Application by Ginny Binder, on behalf of WERC, seeking a Special Permit pursuant to Article 3, Section 3110, Change, Extensions or Alterations, of the Zoning By-Laws to raise a structure by 2.5’ to comply with FEMA regulations on a property with pre-existing, non-conforming front and rear yard setbacks located at 83 Commercial Street (Residential 2 Zone).
ZBA 25-13
Application by Kenneth Hale seeking a Special Permit pursuant to Article 2, Section 2640, Building Scale, of the Zoning By-Laws to increase the building scale of a structure above the maximum allowable neighborhood scale by adding a shed-style dormer on the property located at 21 Brewster Street (Residential 3 Zone).
