Cemetery Spring Cleaning
The cemetery commissioners are hosting their annual spring clean-up at the Oakdale Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Clean-up will involve pruning dead and hazardous vegetation and picking up trash and other debris. Bring protective gloves, your favorite hand tools, and a friend.
Health Fair
A health fair at Wellfleet Preservation Hall on Tuesday, May 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. will provide an array of services to residents, including bone density screenings, cardio checks, facial skin screening, and blood pressure checks.
The event’s activities tap the expertise of several community organizations: Outer Cape Health Services, the Samaritans on Cape Cod & the Islands, Sustainable CAPE, AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Lower Cape Outreach Council, VNA of Cape Cod, Barnstable County Children’s Behavioral Health Work Group, Rural Public Health Workforce Training Network, and Cape Cod Community College. —Sam Pollak
